PROCEED: Weather station installed in off-grid settlement Tsumkwe

In cooperation with local partners, InES has installed a modern weather station in the rural community of Tsumkwe. Due to its remote location in the northeast of Namibia, Tsumkwe is not connected to the national electricity grid. Instead, the settlement has its own energy supply system, a so-called solar-hybrid mini-grid.
